No religion is 2nd in Canada

Those who prefer "no god" over any religion in Canada can take pride that they are the country's second largest group, with 16.5 percent.

According to the Toronto online
Globe & Mail, an outfit called the Vanier Institute of the Family reports 2001 population statistics that show the "no religion" group outranks every one of the Protestant denominations in Canada although collectively Protestants are at about 29 percent.

Roman Catholics are at 43.6 percent. Muslims are reported with an increase of 129% from 1991-2001, but are counted with several non-Christian sects in the 10.7% "other" category.

Our recommendation to the "no religion" group: Enjoy the moment. Eat, drink and be merry. Just remember, life is short and then you die. It would sure be a shame if you are wrong, wouldn't it?

WOW! I never saw this "poll". Thanks for keeping us posted.

Well, I guess it just goes to show that those that don't have a personal relationship with God (through his Son Jesus) will accept ANYTHING that comes their way. Want "FREE" health care? C'mon up! Don't want to work? We'll take care of that too! Can't speak English (or French...UGH!)? No Problem...there's a newspaper/neighborhood/radio station/television station/community for YOU too! Why? Because we PRIDE ourselves in "diversity" (whatever THAT means)!

Yeah...and they've also cornered the market on STUPIDITY too! How do I know? Because I work at a help desk and speak to more Canadians than anyone else reading this blog. And let me tell you something, I have NEVER dealt with people who are more arrogant and just plain STUPID than I have when dealing with Canadians. Are ALL of them nuts? Of course not, some are polite, helpful, and understand that they have a problem and are glad that you're trying to assist them. But by and large, most are as I described above. Now I know why.

Thanks for keeping us informed. Those in Washington that want to keep relations with Canada all "warm and fuzzy" are making a big mistake. This is a nation that is out of control in terms of self-governing and taxes there are out of sight. They boast of "diversity" but in order to acheive it, have borders so porous, Osama-Yo-Mama could fly in on the next flight in from Pakistan and they'd set him up in his own furnished apartment and think nothing of it.

At one time, I was a big fan of Canada and her people. Then I grew up, studied the culture a bit more, and discovered what those of us on the "Northern Frontier" (I use the term VERY loosely) have known for some time. This is a bad country that thinks more highly than they ought to think (Romans 12:3 comes to mind here) and really doesn't care what it's neighbor and largest trading partner to the south thinks. Hopefully someone in the administration will wake up to this fact....and soon!

EXCELLENT COLUMN....as usual!
