Ophelia Joins the Hurricane Club

It's official. Ophelia, spinning in place just off the east coast of central and northern Florida, is at Category One hurricane.

Where she's a goin', only God knows at this point.

UPDATE -- O sweet Ophelia, whose name actually means snake, you taunt us from offshore by downgrading yourself to a 65 mph tropical storm, and tease us with your taut serpentine meanderings, according to the National Hurricane Forecast Center at 11 a.m. Friday. As our pappy used to say, "The only good snake is a dead snake." Please drift away to die at sea, Ophelia!
