Happy birthday, Blog!

Or is it Happy Anniversary?

Well, you can't go wrong with a Birthday Burger. Today Oklahomily The Blog begins its second year of cranky chronicles. Why, it only seems like it was 12 months ago that we started this thing, which is now up to 350 posts.

Yes, we know that is less than one post a day, but we took off from early April to late July to manage a Little League baseball team while trying to find the meaning of life. Since our triumphal return we've been posting like a professional fence builder, and with a smidgin more savoir faire. Joined the BlogOklahoma webring. Launched Oklahomily (the web site) a couple of weeks ago.

Yeah, things are a poppin' here in the heartland. We've even got a new banner for Oklahomily the Blog if we can just friggin' figure out enough html code to get it installed. In the wee hours last night we achieved the equivalent of Alan B. Shepherd's sub-orbital flight -- and with greater bladder control -- so we are expecting a fully functional orbit next time out.

(You think it's easy to do these things? Well, maybe it is for you, but for us we abide by the ever pragmatic Wicked Witch of the West: "These things must be done del-i-cate-ly ...")

Finally, some outfit called BlogShares has us ranked 16th in value of the Blog Oklahoma family. Don't know what it means, except we think it's some kind of game. We'll stick to precious metals for lasting value, but to each his or her own.
