Muslims converted to Christianity

How much weight to give to this report we have no idea, but a Christian news service inside of Russia reports that as many as 2.5 million Muslims have converted to Christianity in the last 15 years.
The news agency indicated that the converts are mainly individuals who were born into a Muslim family but did not necessary practice the faith. “On the other hand, those who really follow Muslim values and regularly attend a mosque rarely abandon their religion,” Silantyev noted.
Silantyev, by the way, is Roman Silantyev,
director of the Inter-religious Council in Russia.
Within the next paragraph is what caught our attention, the possibility that terrorism might backfire against the Islamic jihadists.
Terrorism is another reason for the increase in conversions, he added. “After each terrorist attack, thousands and even hundreds of thousands become Christians,” resulting in an almost 50 percent drop in the Muslim population in certain regions.
We would have to caution that it hard to know how much of this report is real and how much of it is puff, but if there is any truth to this conversion story, that might just be good news indeed.
