Suspended Without Pay for Merely Asking to Pray
A British nurse asks an elderly patient if she would like prayers on her behalf. The patient refuses, the nurse leaves. Soon afterward the nurse is informed that she has been suspended from her job, without pay.
That was December 17. It is now February 3, and she's still a week away from knowing whether she'll be reinstated or not for merely asking permission to pray for intercession.
Mrs Petrie, who qualified as a nurse in 1985, said she became a Christian following the death of her mother.
"My faith got stronger and I realised God was doing amazing things in my life.
"I saw my patients suffering and as I believe in the power of prayer, I began asking them if they wanted me to pray for them. They are absolutely delighted."
But not all, and one dissenting voice could cost this woman her livelihood, since health care in Great Britain is one big, happy nationalized family. No diversity and increasing intolerance for Christian views.
Is this the kind of insanity we can expect from an increasingly secular America, especially if we socialize medicine?
Don't bet against it.
