Who Took This Picture?
This is an official photograph of the landing of the two Chinese space travelers in their "Divine Craft" capsule.
The Shenzhou VI spacecraft is a modified version of the Russian Soyuz. Unlike the old American capsules that parachutted into the sea. The Soyuz parachutes onto dry land, as the Chinese Shenzhou was reported to have done.
Which means that the photo shows the craft descending to the earth on a pillar of fire from retro rockets. Rockets that fire in space where there is NOTHING available to take such a nice little snapshot. The Chinese do not have the capability of taking such pictures.
So why fake it?
Perhaps the Chinese government is trying to drum up ultra nationalist feelings right now in preparation for who knows what? Maybe they are trying to stir up an international controversy. Although they think their own people are ignorant -- because they are intentionally kept that way by the government -- they know that the rest of the world isn't.
At least not THAT ignorant.

I saw that stupid-lookin' thing and thought, 'Just what the hell are those Chinese thinking?' That thing looks like something you'd use to display exotic plants on your apartment balcony.
