A little too CAIR-less?

Let's start with this post from Little Green Footballs:

Stalinism at CAIR

The Council on American Islamic Relations has been caught doctoring a photo at their web site, then hiding the evidence.

A picture of a woman at a recent CAIR photo-op to promote the bogus “fatwa against terrorism” was crudely altered to add a hijab: Stalinism at CAIR: photo doctored for Islamic correctness.

People trying to see the original photo versus the new doctored version are having problems getting through, and it seems that someone may be trying to eliminate the evidence.

So we grabbed off our own copies to post. First, the photo as CAIR would like you to believe took place in front of the U.S. Capitol Building.

Now, as the French would say, for the Piece of Resistance. The photo as it first actually appeared. Pay particular attention to the lady on the left of the speaker, and to the heads of the people in the foreground:

Like magic, ears and hair appear where there wasn't supposed to be any! In one case, blonde hair.

Not that we're any great shakes at Photoshopping, but even we could do better than this. Take a look at a closeup of our mystery lady in hijab.

Not a pretty sight! This gal outta sue!

We remember when we used to get a visit about every six months from the designated CAIR-giver in Tulsa. (This is back when we had a more MSM gig and inevitably disturbed the delicate sensibilities of the council.) Never could quite get a handle on those meetings -- maybe the future Oklahomilist just wasn't sensitive or empathetic enough -- and they always wound up with yours truly saying, "Well, we'll take a look at your material, but don't get your hopes up." Truth of the matter? Just couldn't find much truth in the material.

Over the intervening years we've learned a lot more about CAIR than previously, and like the photo-editing you've seen, it ain't pretty either. They talk a great deal about peace, love and understanding, but their actions seem more in line with advancing the goal of an Islamic world caliphate.
