Why good judicial nominees matter

A federal judge has just overturned Michigan's law banning partial birth abortions.

"The law is confusing and vague ... meaningless and unconstitutional," says U.S. Dist. Court Judge Denise Page Hood.

Another federal judge on Wednesday ruled that the unless God is removed from the Pledge of Allegiance, it is too horrible to inflict upon little school children.

"Coercive requirement," says U.S. Dist. Judge Lawrence Karlton in San Francisco.

Hood was appointed by President Bill Clinton.

Karlton was appointed by President Jimmy Carter.

Any questions?
